As much as I love natural light portrait photography, I love when I create moody portrait photography from bright surroundings. Brook was a perfect model for helping make this happen. Our make-up artist and stylist for the day, Isabel Gacharich, used strong and deep colored tones in the details of the makeup with Brook. I believe this helped achieve the look that we were going for. It was a huge plus that Brook had beautiful colored eyes that help draw attention to the photos. I shot this session with my Sony a7 and the Sony 85mm f/1.4 GMaster lens.

The natural light from the studio provided a soft touch and no other equipment was used for lighting. Not even reflectors. The white walls bounced the natural light in the room, and this created a perfect setting for natural light photography. I color corrected the photos to add a hint of blue and teal tones to highlights and shadows. I think this helped seal the deal with creating a cooler mood for the image.
